Voluntary Retirement scheme was introduced in Nationalized Banks during 2000 and Sri Ramakantha Shetty who was in executive cadre then, opted for VRS and started a house building company in the name and style of M/s Perody Builders Private Limited on 20.09.2001 with his spouse Mrs Nalini R. Shetty and their two daughters (1) Ms Namrata Shetty and (2) Ms Nivedita Shetty as Directors. The company was duly registered with Registrar of Companies for the purpose of purchasing, acquiring, taking on lease land, building, structures and developing the same and constructing townships, markets and building both residential and commercial. The company has so far executed 16 large housing apartment buildings in and around Vijaya Bank layout, off Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.

Mr. P R Shetty, a native of Udupi, Karnataka set up Perody Builders in 2001 with his wife and partner Nalini Shetty. Mr Shetty is a post graduate in Economics, graduate in Law and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers.
